ANNOUNCEMENTS

EASY, NO-COST FUNDRAISER

Shoparoo is a no-cost, effortless way to earn money for our school using a free mobile application available on Android smart phones, iPhones, & iPads. Simply download the application via the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and select "California Montessori Project-Carmichael Campus" as your school. Every time you shop, simply scan your receipt, regardless of what you purchase or where you shop, and earn points for the school.

Money spent equals points, and points equals cash donations and sweepstakes entries for the school. This is a great fundraising opportunity without buying and selling. We have already raised $40 in the first month and a half. Imagine how much more we can earn with everyone’s participation! And best of all, you don't have to be a parent to use Shoparoo, so please encourage your family members and friends to download the application and help our school.

 Four simple steps:

     1. Download Shoparoo App- Google Play Store (Android) or Apple Store

     2. Select California Montessori Project – Carmichael Campus

     3. Save receipts from all of your purchases

     4. Scan you receipts using your smart phone, iPhone or iPad

Revised Uniform Policy

Message from the Principal

August 18, 2014

Dear CMP Carmichael Families:

Welcome to the start of the 2014-2015 school year.  The office and teaching staff are excited to see our new and returning students and families.

We would like to share with you some important 2014-2015 school calendar additions.  The California Department of Education just recently notified districts of their testing windows for the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) and the Science California Standards Test (CST).

The testing window for the Smarter Balanced on-line tests for English Language Arts and Mathematics for grades 3-8 will open on Wednesday, March 4 and close on Wednesday, May 27, 2015.  Science CSTs for 5th and 8th grade students are scheduled to take place the week of May 4 through May 13, 2015.

It is critical that students are present during our scheduled testing time; therefore, vacations must take place during scheduled intersession dates.

Please refer to the updated Governing Board approved 2014-2015 school calendar on the CMP website.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me or your campus principal.

Thank you,

Mickey Slamkowski
